What is coding? Coding can simply be stated as giving instructions to the computer in a language the computer understands to perform a task.
Why should my child learn to code? Code is the language of the future and helps your child to develop computational thinking and problem-solving skills. Every app, every web page, every new piece of technology we use relies on programmers to help create it. The same way that we want all students to have an understanding of English, Math, History, and the Sciences, we want our kids to develop digital literacy because code now forms the building blocks of our world!
What device should my child bring to the class? Please bring a laptop (Windows, Mac) or a Chromebook. You can also rent a device from us for a small fee. Rental Fee: $45 for 15-week Spring/Fall Classes and $20 per week for Summer Camps.
What are the courses offered for the current Semester? The courses offered include Discover Coding, Game Coding, App Dev, Basic Programming, Intermediate Programming & Advanced Programming. Detailed course information can be found here.
My child has some prior coding experience. How do I select a course for my child? Please see the ages recommended for each course on the web page before you register. Students with prior experience will have an option to test out to see if they are ready for advanced coursework. If your child decides to take a pretest, email us to schedule a test date.
Where are the classes held? The classes are offered both virtually via zoom and in-person at our studio located at 13980 Amblewind Place, Carmel, IN 46074. You can choose the option that best fits your child's learning.
Do you offer private classes at a flexible schedule? Absolutely, we offer private one-on-one classes for all course levels. Private classes are typically offered on Sundays. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss your preferred time.
